Advanced technologies for skin absorption and cell activation and their application

Our skin care, haircare and body care products in various formulations are based on Bio-Peptone® developed by our own fermentation method and extraction technology, the formulation technology that improves skin absorption using the skin barrier mechanism, and the research on safe natural substances that can be safely used for weak sensitive skin.

Bio-conversion technology by fermentation

The technology converts active materials into bio active materials by using microorganisms. It potentiality is spotlighted in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics alike. The biggest advantage of the bio-conversion technology by fermentation is to activate active ingredients by enzymes produced from the growth of microorganisms and to enhance skin absorption as ingredients are turned into low molecular weight substances by decomposing enzymes. In addition, fermented ingredients significantly reduce skin irritation and allergies. Janytree’s fermentation technology involves anaerobic liquid fermentation for 48 hours. When effective microorganisms reach the maximum growth point, the fermentation is stopped. This technology is designed to maximize the actions of conversion and decomposing enzymes while prevent the secretion of toxins caused by the apoptosis of microorganisms. Active ingredients produced by Janytree’s unique fermentation process are applied to all products to develop products with differentiated efficacies for specific skin and health problems.

Nano liposome technology

If an ingredient has excellent effects but does not easily penetrate the skin, it is useless. Thus, the active ingredients must pass through the intercellular space of keratin cells and penetrate deep into the skin. Liposome is a representative technique for skin absorption. Its lipid bilayer that most closely approximates the skin cell membrane, allows hydrophilic ingredients as well as active ingredients to be absorbed into the skin. Much research has been performed to develop active ingredients in nano sizes that can easily pass through the intercellular space of the skin. Janytree’s liposome technology supports the absorption of ingredients in about 250 nm. This technology is applied from the stage of preparing raw materials as well as the manufacturing process, ensuring high affinity for the intercellular space of the skin and high penetration effect.

Transdermal Drug Delivery System (TDDS)

Microneedles are the cylindrical devices attached with a thin and fine needle with a diameter significantly less than human hair. This needle creates paths in the skin or scalp through massage. Through the path, drugs with high molecular weight or drugs with difficulties in ionization or polarization can effectively penetrate the skin or scalp, which significantly increases drug concentration and efficacy. In addition, since the microneedle makes a fine path through the scalp and the path can pass through a natural healing process, it can activate hair roots and induce self-regeneration of cells. Janytree directly established the production basis for a microneedle (drug absorption skin stimulator, Class 2 medical devices) in 2009, and obtained the product manufacturing license, manufacturing business license and KGMP from Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Microneedles produced under certified quality control are being used to improve the skin and scalp by professionals in university hospitals and clinics. Janytree has developed high-performance ampoules used together with our technically superior microneedles.

Bio-Peptone®

Bio-Peptone® was created, inspired by the ingredients of the media where skin cells are cultured. It is a pea peptides fermentation product made in low molecular weight through lactic acid fermentation technology. That is, it is a nature-derived material developed by our own proprietary fermentation method and extraction technology. It is tolerant to light and heat and its molecular weight is very low, so it is rapidly absorbed by the skin. In addition, it demonstrates outstanding efficacy in collagen synthesis, moisturizing, antioxidation, inhibition of photoaging, and whitening. It is listed in ICID and applied in various products of Janytree.
