The Beginning of High-Performance Bio-Cosmetics:
Janytree’s Five-Stage Ultra-Pure Water Purification System

Water accounts for more than 70% of cosmetics. At Janytree, the difference begins with that foundation.

Janytree water purification flow: mains water passes RO membrane, ion exchange, 1 µm post filter, 0.22 µm sterilising filter and endotoxin removal, then storage, engineer check and QA approval to become ultrapure water

Five-Stage Purification for Optimal Water Quality

To deliver the efficacy of superior ingredients deep into the skin, the purity of the base water is critical. Janytree goes beyond ordinary purified water and insists on ultra-pure water at a level comparable to pharmaceutical manufacturing.

STEP 1. RO Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filter

The RO filter is the starting point of ultra-pure water production. Through a reverse osmosis membrane, it allows only water molecules to pass while blocking most impurities. In this process, ionic substances, bacteria, organic matter, and fine particles are removed in large quantities, significantly reducing water conductivity. Water that passes through the RO filter becomes a stable, high-purity source water for subsequent precision purification.

STEP 2. Ion Exchange Resin Filter

Ion exchange resin removes trace ions that remain after the RO process, raising water purity to the next level. Cation and anion exchange resins adsorb and replace salts and metal ions, thereby greatly increasing resistivity. This is a critical precision purification step for reaching ultra-pure water standards.

STEP 3. 1.0㎛ Post-Filter

The 1.0 um post filter is a safety step that blocks fine particulate contamination that may occur after previous processes. It physically removes resin particles or fine particles in piping to secure final water quality stability. This helps maintain formulation uniformity and physical stability during cosmetic manufacturing.

Going further, Janytree operates a highly advanced ultra-pure water system comparable to water used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

STEP 4. 0.22㎛ Sterilization Filter

The 0.22 um sterilizing filter is an absolute filtration process that physically blocks microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. Designed with micropores that bacteria cannot pass through, it enables reliable microbial control without chemical treatment. It completes the sterile water quality essential for high-performance and bio-based formulations.

STEP 5. Endotoxin Removal Filter

The endotoxin removal filter is an ultra-precision purification step that removes toxin components remaining even after microorganisms are killed. It selectively adsorbs endotoxins, which are difficult to remove with ordinary filters, using electrostatic attraction. This completes cosmeceutical-grade final purified water that minimizes skin irritation and fever-like reactions.

+ Management & Validation System

Water quality is completed by management beyond equipment. Ultra-pure water facilities alone cannot guarantee perfect quality. Janytree uses only water that has passed both systematic maintenance by specialized managers and strict water quality verification by professional quality inspectors. This management system, which goes beyond global standards, creates the quality difference in high-performance cosmetics.

Through its advanced five-stage filtration system, Janytree realizes an eco-friendly process without heat sterilization.
This increases product purity and also marks the beginning of carbon-neutral manufacturing by significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

Significant Reduction in Energy Consumption

Conventional heating methods consume substantial electricity and gas to maintain water at high temperatures. Janytree removes microorganisms and toxins at room temperature without heating, using only the physical and electrical properties of filters and the minimum power needed to drive pumps, reducing energy consumption by more than 80-90% compared with conventional heating methods.

Reduced Carbon Dioxide Emissions

Reduced energy use directly lowers carbon emissions across the manufacturing process by decreasing fossil fuel consumption. This process strengthens competitiveness by meeting the low-carbon manufacturing process standards required in ESG supply chain due diligence by global buyers.

Reduced Cooling Water Use and Process Time

Heat sterilization requires additional cooling energy and time, while Janytree’s system can introduce purified water directly into production at room temperature immediately after purification. This shortens process time and minimizes unnecessary energy and resource waste.
